This course is an accredited course with participants achieving the Unit of Competency: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR refresher). The course will cover the skills and knowledge to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. The course incorporates on line learning and assessments combined with a 3 hour face-to-face practical workshop and assessment. It is recommended that participants have a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the workshop to achieve the online learning and assessment.
Please note as part of the assessment requirements for this course all participants are required to be physically able to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
